Scout's Guide to a Board of Review (BoR)
In order to advance along the ranks in Boy Scouts, each scout must participate in a Board of Review. This is a meeting with three members of the Troop Committee or other adult leaders.
A scout should come to his Board of Review in full uniform, with his neckerchief and merit badge sash (for Star and Life), looking sharp. You should also bring your Scout handbook to every board of review.
Keep in mind that a board of review is not a test. The board will ask about your experiences and give you things to think about, but you should consider a review board as the chance for a two-way conversation where adults in the troop can get to know you better and you can let adults know what you would like to accomplish next with the troop.
Contact the troop's advancement coordinators to schedule a board of review.
