Join Troop 119
Looking to join Troop 119? Parents/guardians can register new Scouts and themselves or transfer from another Troop by following these instructions.
Register a New Scout
New Scouts are those who are brand new to Scouting or returning after an absence.
- Register with BSA
- Register with Troop 119
Please use this form to provide contact information and permissions and to pay for the Troop starter kit. Once registered with the Troop, Scout families will receive an email with links to the following forms. Please return these to the Troop by your next meeting.
- BSA Medical Form (required every year)
The medical form must be completed each year. Parts A and B are required for all activities (see "All Scouting Events" section on linked page.) Part C is required for residential camps and events of 72 hours or more (see "Are You Going to Camp" section). We recommend bringing Part C to your Scout's next physical so you have it when you need it. Our medical form coordinator will also need a copy of your health insurance card (front and back). - Troop 119 Permission to Treat (one-time form)
- Troop 119 Code of Conduct (one-time form signed by Scout and Parent/Guardian - only signature page must be submitted)
- Troop 119 Scout Law Policy (one-time form signed by Scout and Parent/Guardian - only signature page must be submitted)
- Motor Vehicle Registration
Register as a New Adult Leader
- Go to my.scouting.org. Log into your existing account or register for a new account.
- Once logged into my.scouting.org, take the Youth Protection Training (link is on the main page). The training is 70 minutes, but it only has to be completed every two years.
- Submit a Massachusetts CORI Acknowledgement Form. As part of the process, you’ll need to take a picture of your license. Once you submit this form, you will receive a confirmation email.
- Fill out the online BSA Adult Application.
- Send the Membership Coordinator Janel Showalter at [email protected] and Committee Chair Jack Showalter at [email protected] a copy of your YPT certificate and the CORI confirmation email so we can finish processing your application.
