Packing Lists for Summer Camp

Scouts should pack all their gear in a single container (such as a box, locker or large duffle bag).  This container will be dropped off when you get to camp and transported to the site.  All containers should be clearly labeled following the directions in the 119 Complete Guide to Summer Camp.

The packing lists for the two weeks of summer camp are similar, except that mess kits are needed for Camp Bell.

Scouts should also bring a separate day pack with them so that when they arrive they have access to:

  • Medications (these are checked in when you register)
  • Your Class A uniform shirt
  • Swimsuit and towel (for a swimming test on your first day of camp)
  • Your water bottle
  • Bag lunch (lunch is not served on the arrival day at camp)

Depending on choice of activities or merit badge classes, you may need to bring additional gear.  Check with the Senior Patrol Leader and the troop's summer camp coordinator for more information on specific requirements for different activities.
